The Association board has approved and signed a new multi-year contract with PLM, Lake & Land Management Corp. This is the same organization we have used the last couple of years to survey the lake and apply the treatments we needed to control the Eurasian milfoil and phragmites. We have been impressed with their level of commitment and their continuity is important to us. The contract includes three lake surveys, weed treatment as necessary, and filing the required paperwork to the DEQ for treatment permits. Also, we have asked them to look closely at the increase of algae and algae blooms that have appeared in the lake lately and recommend treatments. Jason Broekstra, the VP of Operations and biologist who has completed most of our lake surveys, will be present at our annual spring meeting on Memorial Day to provide a report and answer any questions you may have.
