And the winner is:
… Rich Vervisch. He was also the winner of the second of three “trophy races” of the year on the 4th of July with the Memorial Day race being won by Dave Ellis. Any sunfish on the lake is welcome to join in. No sailing skill is needed which was evident from watching the race. Gordie Howe was present the last few years and his sailboat with the #9 on the sail can still be seen on the lake. The trophy is an autographed hockey puck from Gordie. (That’s one of Joe & Marge Knable’s grandsons and a friend with Gordie.)
Lots of fun and great food and the weather even cooperated a bit for the race.
